Stop Now And Plan [SNAP®] Cornwall was officially launched in July 2010 through a funding grant from Public Safety Canada's National Crime Prevention Centre. The doors to the Centre were officially opened in February of 2011.
The SNAP® Cornwall program is based on the Canadian focused and internationally acclaimed program founded by Centre for Children Committing Offences [CCCO] formerly known as Earlscourt Child and Family Centre and The Crèche Child and Family Centre in Toronto.
SNAP® Cornwall is a not-for-profit children's program offering a broad range of services for children aged 6-11 and their families such as;
- innovative counselling programs for at risk children
- programs to support parents and promote healthy child development
Our early intervention programs provide help to children with social, emotional, or behavioural challenges and their families. We will work together to determine if SNAP® Cornwall is right for you and your family. If we are not the right service, we will connect you with one that is.
The SNAP® Cornwall team is comprised of caring and experienced professionals with a variety of educational disciplines and professional backgrounds. This highly trained team work with children and parents to assess their needs; resulting in an appropriate action plan.
